Dainton knows haw to throw a shin dig, he built a ramp in a week, he put on booze, basketball hoop, a Porno Paul Documentary complimented by Lt Meat song.



Then it was out to Le Pub (the favorite haunt of any self respecting mosher, skater, musician & artists).

It was amazing we drank like it was going out of fashion. I think Chav Dan ended up in hospital, he was a bloody nightmare.

So stoked to have been part of Dainton's ramp resurrection, if you don't know Dainton's bell-end next door neighbors complained so much his ramp had to be removed under some dumb ass, you can't do what you want on your own property rule.
Well a couple of years later it has worked out rather well because he has erected it in doors at his photography studio Photographiti, it is a private affair I am afraid but one day if you amerce yourself in the Newport scene you may get invited along, you never know. Stay tuned for footage.

So these are the facts, are the lights on or not, I feel not as everytime myself or my crew have been down there they have not, secondly I fear Steve has bad news for me and he is to scared to tell me as this has gone on for months. 
The one good thing about the scooter boom has been that there is no argument that the skate park is being under used or used incorrectly.

What is happening with the resurfacing problem in Newport Skatepark?

I have sent this email including picture to Steve Bickerton and Neil Seargant from the Newport Leisure, this is about the 5th email so far, we have already had some shall we say heated conversations with Maveric and they insist that the fault does not lie with them but with the council, so lets see what they can do, sod all I expect.

We all know that the problem with the surface hasn't been addressed, we need this to happen but if it is not, please tell us. Enough fobbing off now, it is time to put the cards on the table. We are the users and many of us are tax payers. Lately not only has the parks substandard surface been an issue but also it's lighting, it has not been coming on and we have had to make do with the astroturf lighting, which casts shadows which a health and safety issue. Kindly let me know, these are problems that need addressing, they are not going to just go away, the park is well used and we deserve to be looked after like any other leisure provision. Dear loyal Exist. fan base,
Yes it's true, we are in the process of developing an Indoor skate park in Swansea, we are still finalising arrangements. We will be hosting a fundraiser on the 23rd of December in Mumbles, so please try and make it to that gig (more details later)
We will need all of your support in the next few months, so whether it's purchasing a t shirt at the store or helping organise fundraising events, it's all welcome.
The schedule of the build is due to start in February 2011. With a 2 month build expected, we are hoping to be open for the Easter holidays.

This is how the pricing structure is lining up.

Membership - Annual £10.00

Non Members - £5.00 per hour.
Non Member Students - £4.00 per hour with (NUS Card)
Members- £3.00 per hour
Session prices will be worked out at a later date.

You can sign up for membership at Exist on Oxford Street from January 2011. Exist gift vouchers will also be a valid means of payment. (Under 18's will need to fill out parental consent forms which will be available to print out online during the coming months.) This will save queueing up in the first opening weeks and help support the park in it's earliest phase, your support is key and we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has stuck by us through out the years.

Beanhead in not disgusting Primark Jeans Shocker!

So I am in the shop and within 30 mins two comments completely unrelated and completely unprompted have said, "Hey! Beanhead was wearing some nice jeans the other day." Honestly this actually happened, it's hilarious I have been nagging Beanhead to up his style points for years, Lt Meat says he doesn't give a shit because he is an existentialist. I personally think it is because he is a tight arse.

Look how the colour is completely non discript, they always look like they are the jeans you pull out of the bottom of the cupboard to do the painting in, look how they don't so much fall over the shoe than swallow the entire shape of them, he buys and wears nice trainers but you would never know because they are invaded by the disgusting atrocities, the assault on the shoes starts at the hip and they just fall with no shape like shit.

Anyway I am glad to say Beanhead is now on it and even stretches to £9 for a pair of jeans, he might even up his game to Top Shop one day as he is still repping Primarnie hard.

Richard Gilligan is pretty well known in the skate photography world, he came over with the Witchcraft/Lovenskate lot taking pics...what people don't know is he was in a band with me and Lt Meat and another Irish dude called John Savage, I asked John how he got his name, he just said,"It is moi name!"

Unfortunately Savage wasn't over so Lt Meat managed to use his awesome computer knowledge to slot him in to this nostalgic picture, this band was the best time of my life, and I cant believe it was nearly 10 years ago.

Rumor has it that Lt Meat has finally got a passport and hopefully we may be playing a show in Ireland some time in the future, fuck I hope so.
